 Bio

Jenny Camp (b. 1994, Cheltenham) is an artist living and working in London.

They are interested in tension, mess and confusion. Understanding that to be human is to continually reshape your understanding of an endlessly complex world, and to sometimes get lost in the process.
Jenny Camp practices sculptural auto-cannibalism. They physically make things out of desire and necessity but then find themselves with no space or interest in preserving work indefinitely. They often chop up, add to, or break down older pieces, mining them as material for new work. This self-extracting cycle creates a continuity with the past while complicating the idea of the ultimate finished product.

They have a BA in Product and Furniture Design and are currently a studio holder at Conditions studio programme in Croydon.
Outside of their own practice they work in a foundry and freelance as a propmaker, fabricator, and technician.
They also made this website using Neocities.
